I don't have a work bench, as it would take space from the layout
(and I don't have a great deal of space there as it is).
Also, underneath the fascia and curtains is pretty much full anyway.

I keep all my modeling stuff in three large Tupperware bins
(one of which has the scenery stuff, and it's on top as it gets used the most often),
and when I need to use them, I break it out to use on the dining room table.

All my paints and brushes, for example,
are in a long, shallow flat-bottom plastic container,
so it doesn't take long to set up.
