Hello, Steve.

That doesn't sound promising,
since I like to run small switching locomotives, especially for operations.


Perhaps we're thinking of different systems.

I found the DRS1 receiver with built-in DCC booster for G gauge is 2.7" long and 1.2" wide. 
They also sell a 3400mA 13.8v battery that is 2.75" x 1.46" x 1.46"


I'm guessing I should be able to easily fit a battery and receiver into my tender,
and get approximately 3 hours of run time.

Seeing how my loco's motor should only draw up to 1 Amp.
