To me it looks like another try to just have a formal reason to charge other manufactureres of control systems for patent infringement - it has been tried before. There's lots of prior art, but that will not prevent anybody from being charged and defend himself costly.
Just an addition: Here you can see what this guy has got patented. Look at the date of the video and compare that with the "patent's" provisional application date.

Just one final word:
I've been one of the contributors to the project depicted in the video since 2012, and we were well aware that sooner or later someone would succeed in the U.S. to obtain a patent for what was long since published in the net. So, at least in the E.C., this patent isn't worth the paper it's been printed on.
