Our N Scale club uses Easy DCC and most people at the club are happy with it. They do limit the number of radio cabs you can use but if you have a small layout with few trains that is not a problem.

If you plan to have sound locomotives you may want a program booster. The cab bus can be both coax or utp style.

Several of the members that had Easy DCC at home have or are changing to other systems. Each system has it's good points.

If there are some clubs near you or other model railroaders you might spend some time with them. Ask them about the things they have problems with as well as the good points.

I use the NCE DCC. It is easy to learn. I have a PowerCab for programing. I have a 10 Amp radio cab system for my large scale and an SB5, DB5 setup for smaller scales.
