Hey, if I can have a model railroad in a Kenworth... surely you can find the room in a non-mobile structure. :P

Dwayne:

It looks like you're making great progress with your layout. The Walthers GoldenFlame kit is one of their better kits.

It was one of the first kits I built for the JJJ&E almost nine years ago. It goes together very nicely. I modified the roof line about two years ago and changed it's name to Williams Coal.

A little progress.... Been thinking about turnout control..

I am using Peco Code 55 track and turnouts with electric frogs. If I have not mention before I will be using DCC.

So I dug thru my boxes of parts and came across these salavage from an old switching layout.

A little carving of the ceiling tile for a pocket to mount these

A few test fit ...

and few trashed linkage.... I'm there....now just five more to go.

I am planning on gluing a thin cover over wire link and switch pocket

Dwayne, any progress is better than nothing, I have seen a system like yours before but in that application the builder sleaved the wire inside a piece of tubing to prevent it from binding after scenery was applied. Have you tried the thin material method before and has it worked well for you in the past? Pat

I remember those. Last time, didn't you run those under the layout?
