Howdy Bill...great to have you here. I do know how sometimes train time can get "pre-empted" by family & friends & grandkids. Have fun here and don't be shy...I know you ain't shy!

Woodie

Hey Bill

Great to have you back,

Like that there Woodrow sez--bashful not allowed here.

Steve Fisher and the guys that operate on the Deep Rum RR are a great bunch--see if you can get an invitation to spend a Saturday there for sure

Herb

Hi to the freerails group, I'm new to all of this, though I modeled a bit 45 years ago.
I drive by a Yellowstone 2-8-8-4 on the way to my new 18'x30' layout here in Two Harbors Mn. We still ship out 16-18 million tons of taconite a year, so trains are a big part of the scene.
I'm modeling in HO, and attempting to put Stantons gear in a SD-9 from BLI, its a tight fit. Grinding and cutting away...

Hello, I'm new to Free rails. I've been a model railroader since 1969, (yeah an old fart). I've been a 1:1 railroader since 1983. I have N scale for home use, no layout at this time and HO for the club I belong to. I also dabble in large scale as I want to put a garden railway in someday.

Richard,

Glad to have you aboard--and by the way, you ain't an old timer here, unless you were modeling trains before 1950--but thats OK--they seem to put up with me.

Hello everyone, I'm Jacques, 67 years old ,born in Belgium and living in Montreal, Canada. I started into model railroad in 2011 after discovering the outstanding website from Carl Arendt featuring exclusively micro-layouts. I asked to join this forum because I'm impressed by the excellent quality of the articles.
