Fellers.
I once had a rather largish HO standard gauge model railroad..two years ago it all came down , result of a long deferred and much needed divorce...I am moved to new digs. A model railroad started in the living room , cause I can.
First fotos from this morning.There are construction fotos , I take alot of fotos . These may get in some section later . if thought appripo .

In the living room, my goodness. The nearest I ever was to that idea was reading about coffee table layouts in magazines. I am confined to the basement, although I sometimes sneak upstairs to do repairs on locos, etc.

The original "palms tower " lives..and I have more Palm trees..it shall rise from the arshes..in fact the fotos taken today feature the palms tower...the whole thing { Olde Tidalwater} was ..Uum a bit too much..some very nice scenes..sorta big time in a small un workable sense..HUH.you say 
The new is intended to have all the features that were good..none of the acres of table top.with tracks wandering around..not all .but some...was ..etc..I am not short of track to lay out again..I kept about thirty cars..offed huge amounts of stuff..

Pretty impressive...

I think you could make & run a Railway for those 30 cars...
...& have the RIGHT number of switches...
...managable table-top acres...
...& still get top-notch ops.& despatching...
...you wouldn't need the binoculars & 2-way radios to see & speak to the far-end of the line !!

Seems like you have sectional-track, to try a few things.

There are alot of good fotos out there..imagine..me with camera..and something to shoot..bang bang,,..etc..
Thanks for posting those..the fotos make these blogs lists things.
And we never had no procto-octopus visits from benchworks mal-functions.

I find that "G" is said oft when visitors see the Tidewater line..is that to whot you refer..?...playing dumb in Beatty..
No progress today..barge / nee motor ferry under plans..
A foam hull ..wood deck..and plastique after that...my collection of plastic parts is near depleted..sad deal that..I thought..oh I won't need those ..
