I've started this subject here so we don't continue in the "Joining Freerails" section.

I almost got into Proto48. While I was dabbling in it I came across some interesting sites.

I found this of great interest. http://proto48.org/

I found Tom Mix to be quite inspiring with his scratchbuilt Boxcab. http://proto48.org/p48_photos_mix_02.htm

Enjoy fellow Proto48 Modelers.

Good idea Bernd

Some super modeling by Mix!

I will be interested in seeing how his radiator sections on the roof come out.

Learned a few new words making mine--I'm sure his will be better. (the model, not the words necessarily)

I went through the thread. Discovered I had already seen it when I came upon my post. Getting old sucks. Can't remember ever reading this post.

I've got Tom's pic's of his radiator. I can't seem to find where I got them from or I'd post a link to them.

I figure that starting a thread on Proto48 here would get the guys out of that other section. If enough Proto48 guys show up here then we could add a new section perhaps.

That was the reason for starting it so you Proto48 modelers have a place to call home.

Well, since this is the Large Scale Forum, for trains running on Gauge 1 track, may I respectfully suggest that you ask to start your own P48 Forum.
Glad to see P48 here, but I really think you will do better with you own forum.
