Hay everyone ,
I'm new here but not new to m.r. I have taken a 25+ year hiatus and find myself way behind the ball. I've finally recovered the space originally dedicated to the railroad and of course I'm looking at ways to power the thing. I HATE WIRING !!! I can do it but..... I read the article about battery power in The May MR and fell in love soooo...I'm looking for more info and advice. I have four geared locos ( one of each ) and a three truck Shay so I need to go REAL small.

Thanks in advance,
Dwight

I don't know much about the subject but my first guess is that the battery and electronics might be easier to put into a Tender or other trailing car and run leads to the engine.

Im guessing scale would be a factor too.

Meanwhile I think there are a few people here that likely know more than I do about it.
