I started a rainy day summer project. Like I don't have enough projects now, but the bug has bitten and I need to scratch the itch.

Back about 35 or so years ago I had bought an Athearn TR2 when they sold that set. One unit was powered the other a dummy. Can't remember which was which. I also had purchased a Hobbytown of Boston powered switcher chassis. I had planned on building a TR3 set back then but never got around to it. Recently I had been scouring E-bay for Hobbytown kits and came across one with a Cary metal shell. i won that. Then a while later i came a cross just a power chassis and won that too. Great, now I can power the Cary shell also. But that's another project.

So what I'm going to do is do a step by step on the website and post the high lites here on this post.

So, what's a TR3? Below is a picture of the C&O's TR3, one set of only two ever manufactured.

And here's the start on my website: http://www.kingstonemodelworks.com/TR3.html

Have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Bernd
