I have just joined and already notice a couple of blokes names that I know,
one I even went to school with !

Hi Rod, remember Coburg Tech in the 50's ?

Anyway my layout is O-scale USA 1/48
It's a switching layout in a room in my house.
It's called 'Bay Ridge Harbor Rail Road' (BRHRR).

I am not a professional modeller,
just a bloke who bumbles his way along, and learns from books and forums like this.
Not that I post on many forums, not enough time.

I am glad to be excepted into such an illustrious group of blokes.
I was going to say elite, but I don't like that word, you can use it though!

Hope to post a few pictures soon.
They will be new, as I don't like repeating pictures I may have already posted.
Exception real old one's.

Nev. (Neville R)

G'day from Victoria Australia, Neville.

I am an On30 USA prototype modeller as well,
seeing as I use Bachmann locos and rolling stock,
plus craftsman kits from Banta, Raggs and SierraWest.

My track plan and DCC plan are well advanced.

I have the layout room built,
with wood walls, corrugated iron roof and concrete floor.
Next need to do benchwork and 240volt wiring.

Welcome to the Forum, mate.
We love Photos !

Greg in Australia.

G'Day Nev

Good to see your name again.

And yes I remember Coburg Tech very well.

Best regards

Rod.

Hi everyone.

OK it worked.

I joined Freerails almost two years ago,
then things got busy and I never got back to you blokes.

Well I'm back again for a short time,
then I'll be away for a month at least,
I'll be here for July.

I have been lurking here for eighteen months,
and from what I've seen you are a great bunch of modellers,
so I hope I can contribute something here eventually.

I post on an English site and very very occasionally on OGR, that's it.

Thanks.

Nev.

Here is a gantry crane I built for unloading scrap at a foundry.

EL 1041 road locomotive with a empty coil train,
has just entered Republic Steel track work.

It will make it's way through the Mill complex,
and branch off to the Rolling Mill sidings.

I have a leaning towards the Erie Lackawanna railroad,
so you will see some Erie, DL&W, and EL locomotives.

The railroad only exists in the owners mind,
and it's basically a common carrier for a small town,
and also assigned to a Steel Mill for their railroad operations.

Thanks.

Nev.
