The special 9' w/b bogies for my carriage are currently not available, so I am making an interim set.

Found some 8' w/b sideframes in the junk box and fitted finescale wheels.

Hi Bob,

That's a nice job on those 2AJ "lookalikes" and the coach that goes with them.  :apl:  :apl:

Hi Bob,

"Corrimal" made it to the Australian Narrow Gauge Convention over Easter,
but unfortunately didn't behave itself as well as it should have.

We were running coal from the mine to the incline,
and did get the incline running and tipping "coal" after some hiccups early on.

(That's another story after I left the coal behind at home.)

We are now replacing the placeholder buildings at the mine,
that we used at the Geelong convention 2 years back.

Because of the misbehaviour, we didn't get all the "pretty stuff" done that we would have liked,
that would have made a "fully polished performance".

I'll get some photos together and resurrect my dormant "Corrimal" thread here.

Overall the convention went off pretty well with the attendees having a good time.

Bob

To add to Johns note,
seeing it in operation at the convention was well worth it in spite of a few hiccups.

Just seeing the number of steps that the operation go's through for a cycle is well worth it.
Kudos to John for his efforts on the model.

You obviously travelled a long way to see it Ken.
Hopefully now I will be able to get to some exhibitions once again and see it for myself.
cheers
Bob

Hi Bob,
That varnished ACM is looking very good.
I'm looking forward to seeing it out on the rails :apl::apl::2t:
