About two years ago I decided to get back into model railroading. I used to model in HO scale but went with On30 this time because the size allows more detail and I wanted to try my hand at scratch building. I started with a small 2' X 3' module and built a few structures and added sound and animation using Arduino. We've recently moved into a new home (St Augustine, FL) and I have a room dedicated to the hobby. I used AnyRail to design a freelanced two level shelf style layout based on Colorado mining in the early 1900's. I got a lot of inspiration from the "Modeling the Gilpin Tram" thread so I decided to join the group here. I've attached a shot of my module and will start a thread later on about the layout as I make progress.
