I grabbed a photo from the county website and imported it into the Unifi Network program.
I then placed a virtual UAP-AC-M-PRO on top of my center ham radio ant tower.

Next step is to walk the line with my Garmin GPS,
recording the locations of all terminals and points of interest.

Using Gimp I will add those points to the photo and get a good idea of how my train (DCC)
and accessory (LCC) Wi-Fi control network is going to work out.

Hi all,

Still a lot of snow up here, will be at least another month,
till the ground is dry/firm enough to haul the stump grinder up to SF/LA.

I just posted a summary of the work I've done this winter,
on the control electronics in my "Signals & Switches" Thread.
In the Freerails 'D.C.C. Electrical & Sound' Forum.

I've been re-designing the turnout motor control board,
with knowledge I obtained from using the prototype version.

Testing turnout control,
I've realized that I need a spring/latch mechanism of some sort,
to hold a turnout firmly in its set position.

I'm using LGB G-scale turnouts,
the manual spring mechanism just isn't firm enough to hold it in position,
once I turn off servo power after the movement.

Has anyone seen a product or design for such a mechanism,
that they would recommend?

Steve
