Now that's a workbench,
not much would get done if it was mine.
A big stereo system to turn up the music,
and a couple of drinks to get the party started....
Peter - those tower speakers used to be in the living room.
As part of the deal for me taking over the "guest room",
Cheri insisted that I put those ugly speakers in there.
Uhm, as you wish my princess.....
The girl is a real sweetheart.

Storage of parts and building materials.
The microwave oven has been modified into a spray booth,
with the air vent at the rear vented to outside the shed.

I don't know Woodie, looks like a modeler's paradise to me.
TWO work tables and chairs, ample storage and minimal worries about messing up the carpet/floor/walls/ceiling/other.
Sometimes a little mess is needed to help you rediscover little treasures.
As much as I like having more room for my layout and for modeling by moving the work space to a separate room,
I miss having the layout and workbench next to each other.
It seemed like doing modeling would motivate me to play and vice versa. I miss that synergy.

Not me.
I've cleaned up my work area at least three times over the years.
Always with the same result.
I get less than 50% the productivity I had pre-cleanup.
First I kept wasting time putting tools away when I was "done with them",
but the bigger issue was figuring where on earth I put the tool or material I had need of.
Then when I finally figured out where I had put it,
I either foolishly put it back there when done,
or wasted even more time figuring out a more "logical" place to keep it.
I have enough trouble finding tools within twelve inches of my nose, to bother with organization.
My new cleanup strategy is the cardboard lids over dog food cases from Chewy.com.
When I need room I scoop everything that is in the way into a lid.
Then when I need something I find the lid it is in and throw it back on my desk.

Well, I gotta tell you
I have cleaned up or maybe just put stuff away,
and it seems that within 30 minutes, I have some other thing going,
and the place looks like it did before.
At least I moved the bandsaw out on the back porch,
where the sawdust can just blow away.
That's something "positive" I suppose.

This is where it all happens if you want a Whisper Jet monorail,
enough modelers do, to keep me busy building them.
Part 2 (the computer desk, coming later)
is where the electronics and programming happen.
