" I can now get back to building a two stall engine house for the K&S "
" Laying out window opening's on the side walls, windows on order.
Lucky I had 3 windows on hand for layout and fitting "
Hi
Ken
Thanks for sending me your 'K&S' plan book PDF.
The engine house was one of my favourite drawings.
Just how the doors should look on a future M.M.M.M.M.& M.Co. one !
All the cribbing, culvert & trestle drawings were cool to see as well.
I hope you don't run out of coffee-stirrers !
Si.

Managed to build a couple of the culverts shown in the plans.
Not likely to run out of stir sticks any time soon 4000-5000 on hand,
plus skewers to model cribbing as shown in the plan book.
If I build the engine house, need to stock up on Evergreen drop siding,
I know I do not have enough on hand.
Still short a few windows,
for the engine house I am currently working on,
more then enough on hand to finish the visible sides.

Hi
Ken
Sounds like you could open a coffee bar !
The culvert building, I'm sure will look great on the layout ...
... a sometimes under-modelled feature.

Downside of modelling the culverts,
you can make 3 or 4 in an evening,
then the hard part is figuring out where to use them.
Need to sort out water drainage to plan installation.

Engine house on hold waiting for parts (hinges),
will Post a few photos soon of the build.
I need to make up 3 sets of doors, 2 for the engine house,
with the third for the shop addition, if I add it.
No good photos of the engine house have shown up,
so I will make the best of the shop addition.
It was built of rough lumber,
versus the drop siding used on the engine house.
Mind you I do have a few stir sticks to use up.

Hi
Ken
After you've opened the NEW 'Kens Coffee Caf.' ...
... you'll still have enough stir-siding, for the entire 'K.& S.Rly.' !
Probably do 250,000 1/4 Mil. shingles EASY ...
... could start a 'run' on Chopper S.S.R.B.s in Canada !
The blackmarket price would ROCKET ! ...
... with beards the latest Canadian fashion this summer !!
Si.
I'm still making my way to doomsday I see ...
... with mules & sweaty-DYNAMITE cases, on your scenery !

Si.
Been going through my collection of trestle plans,
which would use up a bunch of the stir sticks.
Or do I build a steel trestle,
and use up my Central Valley stockpile ?
It would mean removing a bench section,
and building a new one, to give the trestle some depth.
Have a couple of plans for logging railway trestles,
either too long or too high.
The section would be between Norquinco bridge,
and the current yard under construction.
Hopefully I will complete a running loop,
within the month.
