Wonder how long the Eureka Mine people have been waiting,
for you to deliver their chairs and other supplies.
The railway trestle is the Nakusp & Slocan Railway (std. gauge),
line to the yard in Sandon.
The flume structure is likely the tailings flume from the Ruth-Hope mill,
which emptied into Sandon Creek,
tailing ponds were in the future for containment.
Across the valley the grade for the Kaslo & Slocan Railway (3 ft gauge),
can just be made out.
As far as projects go, way too many,
I would like to at least get a complete loop down.
Currently working on a drop bridge across the layout entrance,
still a few bug's to work out.

Probably not in the least bit helpful (as usual !)
But ...
Dan Aykroyd got across the 95th Street Bridge ...
... without even having to close it !
" Is this the new Bluesmobile or what ? "
" Fix the cigarette lighter ! "

He wasn't in an

The bridge has 50 inches of clearance,
length of opening is 40 inches.
So not necessary to keep opening for access,
for minor work on the layout.
Only if I need to provide access for building material.
I did remove the wye I had, kept bumping into it,
and not feasible to move yard to provide clearance.
Will add a section to widen,
and then install a turntable and engine house,
based on the setup at Three Forks, in it's place.

Sounds good
Ken
Eh!
The small forklift delivering your next 'square-yard' (1x1x1) of FRock foam ...
... should get through OK !
(delivery by mule takes ages !)
So, does this 50" clearance mean ...
... you've got wall-brackets, or something, 4' high, all round the room ?

Most of the layout is on benchwork,
for the entrance drop-bridge, it has been anchored into the wall.
I need to "STOP"
modelling rolling stock,
and get more track laid.
Never will have enough track for all my rolling stock,
much less motive power.
The last layout could handle 25 to 30 car trains,
but no room for scenery.
I enjoy doing scenery, so it had to go !

Hi Ken
I agree TOTALLY !
Nice as rolling stock is (I can't help making it !)
Those 'round the room rails', are TOP PRIORITY ! !
Don't forget to have a pair of wires, with crocodile-clips handy ...
... for straight after the 'Golden Panel Pin' ceremony !
How many feet have you laid today Ken ?
Are your DYNAMITE ! supplies OK ?
Si.

Dynamite is handled,
with a Antofagasta (Chile) & Bolivia Railway gunpowder boxcar,
built by G. Turner & Co (UK).
A quick and easy conversion,
replace Bachmann reefer roof with a boxcar roof,
still need to add a set of walkway hand rails though.
With the weather heading for the mid to high 30C's,
will be heading for the basement and hopefully some track laying.

Hi Ken
Are you sure you haven't got your degs. C's & F's mixed up ?
You're still living in Canada right ?
I didn't even think they sold shorts in the shops there ...
... probably have to import them from Aus. or Hawaii !
Well ... If it's really true ...
... At least you won't get sunburn swingin' the spike-hammer ...
... in the basement !

That area of the world is under a heatwave at the moment.
People dying and towns burning.

With temperature running from +35C to +37C
during the past week,
not even interested in walking the 1/4 mile to my local (Regal Beagle) for
Just too hot!
Been keeping busy staining stir sticks for a project, only need a 500+/-
Lighting in the basement is not that great for small project work.
