Hi Ken

If it was a Dinky crane hook,

then it probably came from one of these:

https://sites.google.com/site/colescranedatabase/scale-models/models-dinky

Ring any bells ??

Hi    Ken

DINKY crane hook ... Eh!  :brill:

That huge hoard of crane hooks you were looking for ...

(reputedly the largest hoard in North American history !)

... you didn't bury it in the back yard, did you ?  L:

:us:

You shouldn't put this kinda information up on The Net ...

... you could wake up tomorrow morning, look outside ...

... & see detectorists mole-hills all over your yard !

I think John could be around 75% possibly right on 'Coles' cranes ...

... BUT don't forget the DINKY SUPERTOYS 'fixed-installations' ...

... & their South American lapis-lazuli Aztec pyramid building set !  :P

Does yours have the inset wire hook ^^ ... Or the latter 1-piece cast hook ?  ???

Or is it the 24ct Gold Ltd. Edition ?  [whack]

:java:

Si.

It is a 1-piece casting.

With luck I will find or turn a couple of pulleys suitable for use.

Keeping busy making good size trees,

from left over bits and pieces.  :)

Hi Ken

I hope your DIY forestry is going good !  :old dude:

Probably got bristles & sawdust everywhere this week ...  :f:

... instead of 'Frock' debris !!  ;)

I was looking for a diecast 'Dinky' & 'Corgi' crane hook (or 2 !!) a while back ...  :time:

... and THIS came up on eBay !  :shocked:

1:1 though I'm afraid ...  :P

... & VERY EXPENSIVE postage & packing !!  :dt:

You never know Ken ...  :old dude:

... dig down in your back yard enough & you MIGHT just find one ! ?  :us:

Either that, or emerge in a hole, in John's back yard !!

1 to 1 blocks are not a problem.

I can get my hands on singles, doubles and triples,  :bg:

not counting what I have hanging in my basement.  ???

You can never tell when they may come in handy. :us:

Hi    Ken   Eh!

In reference to your PM.

I think completing the whole 'Round The Room' loop ...

... BEFORE any yard mods. or re-designs & extensions ...

... is a MUST !  :thumb:

Busy making an "ICEBERG" for my Daughters Xmas gift.  :2t:
Will pick up plaque, later today, then mount the Polar Bears, no :moose:

Dug out the manuals for the LEGO "TITANIC",

would you believe 792 pages.  :bang:  :bang:  :bang:.

On a few ideas to complete the loop around the room,  L:

still have to get the two engine house tracks laid in the small yard.

Hi Ken

I am a BIG ! fan of your modelling, as you know.

BUT ...  :P

... I am not entirely convinced that 'The Berg',

presents much of a serious threat, to a huge 9,090-piece LEGO set !!  L:

I used to 'test' all my nautical themed LEGO models in the bath-tub !

Have you checked 'The Berg' for scale weight & buoyancy etc. ?  ???

Does it require refrigeration ?  ???

The 'Kaslo & Slocan Rly' historically faced almost every conceivable disaster !  :w:

Could a rogue berg drifting upriver wreck your bridge footings ?  :f:  :dt:

Si.

What you do not see on the iceberg is what is below the water line,
roughly 9/10th of a berg is under water.

:bang:

Photo of a berg off the East Coast of Canada,
in the area the Titanic was sunk.
Not something to be messed with.

I can now get back to building a two stall engine house for the K&S.  :2t:

Laying out window opening's on the side walls, windows on order.
Lucky I had 3 windows on hand for layout and fitting,
until the balance arrive (12).

:us:

Have about 500 stir sticks stained,  :bg:
hopefully there will be enough for the walls.

Will require a few  :java: :java: :java: :java: :java:
and Captain Morgan Rum !
