That was build #1 for me, followed by #514 more over the years.
As a first build it was difficult and a learning experience.
Yours turned out really nice.
I have often thought I would like to do it scratch in O scale.

It really is iconic.
Love the "high country" look, even if it is perhaps a fantasy design.
I think it would be terrific in O scale.
I cant wait to get it worked into the layout,
but I really have to get more trackwork done before that happens...

Hey, what works, works.
And the whole effort looks to have worked successfully.
This project looks like a scratchbuild,
right out of a 1970s or 1980s Railroad Model Craftsman magazine.

Hi all
So I haven't been working on this much ...
Need to get the station position figured out,
and hope to get track around it then.
I have been considering lighting, and after getting a couple 0402 LEDs,
will wire the exterior lights with those, once I get wiring figured and parts.
They have these unusual light standards out of soft metal,
with wire (real or not) run on the outside so it would be seen...
Seems perfect if I can make up a realistic wiring run,
small enough gauge wire, and no un-sightly soldering (yikes).
I might ditch them, but as you can see they look pretty good,
and seems to fit the model.
Also I got the signal put together,
and then I need to add that as well.
I got it mostly put together,
as you can see in the picture.
More to follow.
