Hi all.

My name is James, and I live in southern New South Wales, Australia.

I have been a model railroader for about the last 40 years,
starting with Lima, then modelling American outline.

Over the years I have had a number of layouts of various sizes from micro,
through to medium / large sized (ie, spare room / single garage size or a bit bigger).

In December 2018 I decided to dis-assemble my modular medium / large industrial / switching layout,
in favour of a number of micro (ie, less than 4 square feet) layouts due to a pending move,
and the possibility of not having enough space to set up the larger layout,
due to us being renters rather than buying a home.

Since then I have built 5 micro layouts -

Two US themed 1200x300 mm HO scale switching layouts.
A US themed 600x600mm HO scale 'pizza' layout.
A 1200x240mm Brazilian themed switchback / switching layout.
A British themed 725x340mm 'both ends of the line' OO scale layout.

I have a plan to build one more micro pizza layout - an N scale pizza layout, also under 4 square feet,
but at time of posting this I have only completed the baseboard frame for that.

To save space, the 1200x300mm US themed layouts are 'double-stacked' in a custom built bookshelf,
and the two pizza will also be double-stacked.

My model railroading website is located at http://www.jimsmodeltrains.ws

Thanks for the welcome Peter.

I have so many model railway / railway photos,
it's a bit hard to know which one/s to choose for this "Hello" post.

I plan to add Forum Topics to Freerails for my various layouts over time.

So far, I have added one for the Brazilian switchback / switching layout,
which can be found here:  A Brazilian Themed Micro Layout

The attached image is of my Petra Pizza Micro.

Regards, James

Hi Si.

Now that you mention it,
I realise that there is no track visible in that photo!

Thanks for pointing that out.

Regards, James
