Wes,

You may have seen this mentioned here before,
the three foot rule.

As long as it looks good from three feet away, it's fine.

While I really appreciate a finely detailed model,
I don't possess the skills or the eye sight to do too much detailing.

And, if you are going to be handling the model much,
it would be a shame to break off some of those fine details you're worked so hard on.

Michael,

3 foot rule rules.

I appreciate the fine detail, but like you,
does not come as easy anymore.

Heck, I used to do HO, and N detail.
I guess that is part of the frustration of aging.

You don't live that far away, we should get together sometime.
No doubt we would have things to talk about.

 :)

With handrails and a LGB engineer for rough scale.
Adding a chain across the gap in handrails.

Next: headlamps.

Then the R/C Battery set up
(still unselected and considering recommendations)
with sound.

Headlamp not due until late October.
I will order up the R/C gear then.

Moving house in late October as well,
so the Bitzabash 55 Tonner will stay in the RIP shed for a while.

New house has a 12 x 24 area begging for a layout.
I am anxious to get started.

House is on Comstock Dr,
so maybe the Comstock & Southern (I can use C&S decals!)
might do for a name.
