Peter's question,
got me to thinking about the vehicles in the collection.
I really don't have a number,
but Ertl's Ford Model T is the most numerous.
I intended to count and see how many I actually had,
but I couldn't access all of them.
These came up in the first box I could reach.

I have quite a few of the early Studebaker cars and trucks,
made by Liberty Classics.
Mostly models of the 'teens, they are very adaptable.
The little roadster comes with the top up or down.
My pickup version was converted from a van.

Ertl's Maxwell touring makes a fine vehicle for a layout.
I've painted mine black and a dark green.
Open cars enable figures to be added.

Thanks to diecasting we have Chevy, International,
Studebaker, and Ford trucks available for use on the layout.
Models are left to right, with the Ford behind.

I almost forgot Ertl's great 1927 Graham Brothers panel,
and Liberty Classics's later 1930 Ford Model A van.
Both are great models.

There is a good selection of autos available.
Left to right are Motor Max's Ford Model Ts, Ertl's Maxwell,
Liberty Classics's Ford Model A, and their Studebaker roadster.
These for my 1930s era layout will work well.
Any of these weathered and aged
could suit later themed layouts, as well.
Thanks for looking.

The great thing about diecasts is that they mostly are assembled
with screws, and can be reduced to their parts with a screwdriver.
I get a lot of fun mixing parts from different models,
to create a new vesicle, a truck in this case.
I've described how I took a Liberty Classics 1928 pickup cab,
and mated it to an Ertl 1927 Graham Brothers fender and chassis,
to end up with a completely different Chevrolet Commercial.

A copy of the Spring 2022 II
Fairfield Collectibles catalog just arrived.
It has a full ten pages of 1:24 model cars and trucks,
from all eras, 1920s to present.
Their catalog is also online, too.

Here's an old photo of the result
of mixing parts from different models.
Sometimes a project will develop.
This one did not.
