Related material perhaps of interest.
Just saw this on Flickr.

Cover image is a 4 wheel oil tank wagon.
With an interesting cabinet on the end, which has a pipe to the top of the tank.

Interesting find.

I've seen some variations of these tank cars,
even used for water service.
