Hi, my name is Chris.

I live in SW France, retired in Oct 2018,
started modelling with trains in 2020, in HO, then Trix express.


I am now venturing into Garden rail.

I have an area 25m by 5m behind the house,
but first I need to install a pondless waterfall.

The aim is to build a backwoods sawmill, mine and quarry,
and have real water in the log pond.


It's going to take several years,
mainly due to lack of money.

But I will get there.

Sounds like you know what you want to do,
some pics as you go along would be great.

Sounds like a very interesting project.

As for the money, most of us have that problem,
and when you do get some,
a model train shop will gladly take it of you.

There is always something you need.

Chris, are you another British expat ?
I know of several living on your side of the Channel.

My wife and I visited France,
not long before thel fire at Notre Dame,
so glad we got to see the insides then,
and spent some very nice time in Marseille.
