I believe this is in Poland, not sure. I kind of like the music with the video. If you're into narrow gauge and logging this is a must see. You may not be able to read the text but it's fascinating to watch those little narrow gauge engines work. This would make a fantastic feeder line to a standard gauge railroad.

This is the same line except taken in winter on a plow/plough run.

I've collected a lot of pictures including some drawings of the 750mm (29.527") gauge line. Apparently from observation this seems to be Russian narrow gauge.

Hi Berndt,

this uses former Russian 750 mm gauged equipment, but was shot in the Carpathian Mountains area of Ukraine, near Vigoda in Eastern Ukraine.

Most faszinating. I especially like the lumbering action in the first video, with the tracked vehicles. Tried to identify the make of the log loader but only can assume its some Scandinavian product as some details look familiar.

Interesting section at around 12.00 where they notched a large trunk at each end to set the distance between and secure two disconnects acting as a sort of tie bar before loading the rest of the logs.

Yes it does. I like those Russian locomotives. I did some diffing to see I could fins more info. I've got quite a collection of photo'd and drawings of the engine. Some where down the line when I get all my projects built I'd love to try and scratch build one. I find these narrow gauge lines quite interesting and as idea builders for HOn30 models.
